The family announces with great sorrow his passing at St. Gabriel’s Villa, Thursday, July 2, 2015 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of 65 years to Stefania (nee Serafin) Kozicki. Dear father of Lily Jutras (Ray), Irene Kozicki (Ray Watier), Edward Jr. (Mariette), Richard, Susan Kozicki-Pan (Tony), Kristina Kozicki (Glen Brisson) Stanley, Michael (Boomer his pet dog) and predeceased by his son Tady Kozicki. Cherished grandfather to Sasha, Tiffany, Maggie (Scott), Stefanie (Dave), Ryan (Jenna), Chad (June), Chelsea, Nicholas (Ashley), Jason and Jeffrey. Edward was born in Borki, Poland on August 2, 1923. He bravely served in WWII and was a proud member of the Sudbury Polish Combatant Association. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 and retired from INCO after 34 years of service. He was well respected, honest, hardworking and a generous man who was a good provider and committed to his family. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing and in his later years, his passion was woodworking, antiques and taking Mama to yard sales. Huge thank you to the staff members as St. Gabriel’s Villa for taking such good care of Edward. Special thanks to Lynn Bass for your personal care, compassion and hugs. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 1 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel, Chelmsford.
