HALL, A. Elizabeth (Forster)

In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Anne Hall (née Forster) 66 years Elizabeth Anne Hall (née Forster) was born July 14, 1948 in Lincoln, England. With her brother and parents, she emigrated to Canada in 1951. At the age of 23, she graduated from Laurentian University and married her soul-mate and best friend, Gordon. She fashioned a life that brought together her passion for life, travel and adventure. Her love of nature shone through in her wood carvings and her original design quilts, winning the admiration of all and an international award. For 22 years, she designed and finished furniture. Any spare minute she had was spent on Garden Time! She loved music and singing, performing beautifully in a trio with her brother, David and sister, Cynthia. She was a friend, counsellor, teacher and second mother to many. A founding member of the Estaire-Wanup Volunteer Fire Department auxiliary, she was a radio dispatcher for the Department for 30 years. Determined to the core, she set the highest goals and reached them all. Elizabeth died July 5, 2015, surrounded by family. Predeceased by her brother Peter and parents, William and Nora Forster, she is survived by her husband Gord, sister Cynthia, brother David (Magda), nieces Eve, Joan, Kelly, Emily and nephew Alex. A “Garden Party” to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 300 Elbow Lake Road, Estaire from 1-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
