OLSTEN, A. Beverley (OLSSON)

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Beverley Ann Olsten (nee Olsson) at the age of 71 years in Sudbury, Ontario on Friday July 31, 2015. She passed after a prolonged illness with her family by her side. Beloved wife of 47 years to Ronald Olsten (predeceased). Loving mother of Jennifer and Mary Ellen, both of Sudbury. Bev was born to the late Mary Kathleen and Lionel Morford Olsson (both predeceased) on December 7, 1943 in Chapleau, Ontario. She worked as a registered nurse for 38 years and retired in 2003. She was a dedicated nurse, and showed the utmost respect and compassion towards all that she treated. She loved spending time with her family and friends; her favourite pastimes were baking, knitting, and photography. Despite all the challenges Bev faced in the last 8 years, her strength and courage shone through. Survived by her sisters Lynne Pletch (husband Max, of Dryden, ON) and Roslyn Walker (husband Joe, of Ottawa, ON). She will be sadly missed by her aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and all her lifelong friends. Friends may gather at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 from 5-7pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to Heart and Stroke foundation or ALS society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
