In Loving Memory of Cosimo Tozzo, 88, who passed peacefully Tuesday August 25th, 2015 at Health Sciences North with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Maria Rosaria (Iorfida) of Sudbury, and the loving father of “Madeline” Imaculata Rocca (Giuseppe), Teresa Lamberti (Antonio), Joseph Tozzo and “Bernice” Bruna Manoni (Egidio). Cherished Nonno of Rosanna Dwyer (Craig), Joseph Lamberti (Sandra), Tina Laframboise (Paul), Jamie Ellington (Jeff), Claudia Manoni, Cosimo Lamberti (Jill), Brandan Tozzo (Jenna), Vanessa Lazich (Brent), Natalie Lamberti, Graham Tozzo, Tamara Manoni (Matt), Jessica Rocca (Kevin), and great grandchildren, Emma, Izabella, Kyra, Corinna, Priscilla, Nico, Luca, Noah, Porschia, Ethan, Mason and Oliver. He was predeceased by parents, Giuseppe and Imaculata (Rando) Tozzo, and sister. Cosimo was devoted to his family as a loving husband of 64 years, father and nonno. He treasured his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren; as they were his pride and joy. He was a religious man and regularly attended St. Anthony’s church until the onset of his dementia. Cosimo retired from INCO after 24 years of service as a Millwright. He was a lifetime member of the Società Caruso and would attend many functions because he loved to dance. He was also an avid bowler and bocce player; loved to garden, travel, walk and go to the gym. He will be fondly remembered by his favourite saying “Holy Smokes!” The family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa where he lived since April 2013; especially appreciative of the love and respect of the care they provided. As well, our gratitude extends to the doctors and staff at the hospital for their expertise and compassion in his passing.
