In Loving Memory of Heikki Nikolai Anttila Peacefully, Monday, September 28th, 2015 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury with loving family at his side. Heikki was born in Ulvila, Finland on July 20th, 1918. Beloved husband of Esteri (Heikkila) Anttila predeceased 1994. Loving father of Seija Maki (Veikko). Cherished Pappa of Kevin (Jo-Anne), Brian (Pauli), Lisa (Andre Stewart) and great grandchildren Brianna, Kyla, Ben and Brett. Dear brother of Eeva and Terttu and predeceased by Bertta and Matti. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews in Finland. Heikki was a proud Finnish War Veteran, during his life he had many occupations as entrepreneur in Finland, upon arriving in Canada in 1952 he worked in forestry, carpentry and mining. Heikki enjoyed travelling, fishing and his sauna. Funeral Service at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street Thursday, October 1st, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Civic Cemetery. (Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Thursday.) Donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated.
