SYMONS, Scott 'Scooter'

Peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 in Sudbury at the age of 51 years. Cherished son of Anne (née Caseley) Symons (late George). Beloved husband of Jeanne (née Lagrandeur) Symons. Loving father of Tina Pitre (Adam), Robert Arbour (Bethany) and Jasmine Symons (Michael Bellerose). Dear brother of Joe Symons (Leslie), Mark Symons (Jeanne) and Lisa Spencer (Brian). Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his grandchildren Khloey, Abigail, Joshua, Avery and Sydney. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will also be missed by his canine friend Baxter. On Scott’s behalf we would like to thank his mother-in-law and Papa, Evangeline and James for the wonderful support and lunch dates after his treatments. Scott was a proud employee who worked at Vale as a diamond driller. Special thanks goes out to his brothers at Vale for their support and help during Scott’s illness. The family would also like to thank the staff and nurses on the 4th floor North at Health Sciences North for their care and compassion, as well as the staff and nurses at the Chemotherapy room. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, October 9th, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Donations can be made in Scott’s memory by cheque or online to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
