It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of James Wayne Denault on Sunday, October 4th, 2015 at the age of 68 years. Loving husband of Irene Denault (nee Perry). Beloved father of Theresa Tammi (Rob) and Carrie-Lynn Denault. Cherished grandfather of Joshua Denault-Richard. Predeceased by his parents Sauriol and Freda Denault. Survived by his siblings Lloyd Denault (Diane), Marlene Chassie (Merrill), Barbara Junop (Neil), Dave Denault (Debbie), Vince Denault, Donna Denault-Monette (Mo), predeceased by his brothers Ken Denault (Clarisse) and Buddy Denault (Connie). Dear brother-in-law to Ken Perry (Margaret), Helen McGuire (Jim), Lyle Perry (Carol), James Perry (predeceased Lydia), Allan Perry (Lorna), Susan Fleury (John) and predeceased by Donald Perry (Joyce). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jim was born and raised in Waltham, Quebec. He came to Sudbury at the age of 18 years and began working for INCO. He married his beautiful wife Irene in 1968. After 25 years at INCO, Jim took an early retirement for health reasons. During his retirement years Jim’s greatest joy was his grandson Joshua. They were inseparable. Jim had the biggest heart and the best sense of humour. He always had a story or memory to share. He was generous and loved his family unconditionally. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. Our hearts are broken and we will miss him until we see him again. Jim fought a long and courageous battle with COPD. He is now at peace with his beloved parents and brothers. Special thanks to all the staff at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care, Health Sciences North and to Pastor Dan Moulton for the time and comfort he gave to Jim. Great appreciation to everyone who was able to see Jim during his last difficult months. At Jim’s request there will be no visitation. A celebration of life memorial for family and friends will be held at the Howard Johnson, 50 Brady St., Sudbury on Thursday, October 15th, 2015 at 7 p.m. Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
