In Loving Memory Of George Ubald Godin 83 years Peacefully Friday, October 9th, 2015 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Marlene Godin (nee Kelly). Loving father of Robert “Bobby” (Wendy), Micheline Walker (Stephen), Lisette Leduc (Tom) and Lynne Goodbody (Stephen). Cherished grandfather of Marc Godin (Samantha), Andrew Godin (Jamie), Kelly Fortier (Mike), Krista Walker (Pat), Katie Walker, Evan Leduc, Stephanie Leduc, Jensen Goodbody and great grandchildren Shyanne and Savannah. Dear son of Ubald and Rosalie (nee Thériault) Godin predeceased. Dear brother of Hélène Leblanc (Yvan predeceased) and Exilda Frechette (Vincent predeceased) and predeceased by Charlie (Yvonne predeceased), Léo (Emilienne predeceased), Arthur (Mathilda predeceased), Louis (Mangela), Daniel (Gwen), Albertine Cormier (Richard predeceased), Ernest (Daphné predeceased) and Marie. George worked for more than 44 years in the plumbing industry. He enjoyed yard work, wood working especially building exquisitely crafted birdhouses and his yearly trips back east to haul back 1000lbs of lobsters for people back here to enjoy. He also enjoyed playing guitar and played on T.V’s Gordie Tapp, Tommy Hunter, Tommy Common and from 1953-1958 he played on C.F.C.L.’s Red and White Jamboree. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. (Friends may call 2-4; 7-9pm Wednesday) Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury Thursday, October 15th, 2015 at 10:30am Interment in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the House of Kin or the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
