HARRIS, G. Cecile (Ranger)

Cecile Gladys Harris (nee Ranger) November 10th, 1922 - November 19th, 2015 Born on November 10th, 1922 in Norman Township, she passed peacefully at home on November 19th, 2015 at the age of 93. Cecile left us to join her beloved husband of 72 years, Keith (predeceased April 2014), her Mom and Dad and all of her brothers and sisters. She leaves behind a legacy of 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was proud of each of them and loved them with all of her heart. Cecile married Keith Harris on May 14th, 1942, and as was common at the time, she stayed home to take care of the family while Keith went to work for INCO. together they built a camp on Wanapitae Lake, where they spent their summers with family and friends. Cecile was an excellent cook and baked the best blueberry pies on earth. She was always very athletic. She was a superb bowler and had the trophies to prove it. Above all Cecile was a good person and she lived by the words: “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”. Left to mourn are her children; David (Estelle Chartrand), Darlene and Larry Hinch, Brian and Joanne, Diane (Tony Cassetta), Keith (France Gélinas) and all of their families, her 2 brothers-in-law (Harold and Joe) and her sister-in-law (Ruth) as well as many nieces and nephews. We wish to thank the staff and all her friends at the Walford and CCAC for their caring and compassion. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Monday and after 10:30 A.M. Tuesday) Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund would be appreciated.
