MAKELA, M. Linda (Perttula)

In Loving Memory of Linda Marie Makela (nee Perttula) 71 years Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 at Health Sciences North Beloved wife of Ron for 48 years. Loving mother of Karen Mantha (Gord). Cherished grandma of Jennifer-Lynn Mantha (Jason) and Justin Mantha, and adored great grandmother of Shyanne-Lynn, Avary and Treightyn. Predeceased by her parents Matti and Irja Perttula (nee Eno) and survived by her step sister June Guy (Phil)and step brother David Perttula (Sharon). She will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and canine friend Jackson. Linda enjoyed spending her summers with her family and friends at the camp on Lake Wahnapitae where she loved feeding the chipmunks. She loved to socialize and be around people. She was the happiest when she was with her family. The family would like to thank the staff of 5th floor south at Health Sciences North, especially Reagan, Megan and Kaitlin for their excellent care and compassion of not only Linda, but also her family. Funeral Service at the Lougheed Funeral Home (252 Regent St at Hazel St) Friday, November 27th, 2015 at 12:00 noon Friends may gather after 10:30 am Friday Burial in Waters Cemetery. Donations to Pet Save, Wild at Heart Wildlife Refuge Centre or St. Matthew’s Finnish Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
