CARSON, F. James

January 17, 2016 80

It is with heavy hearts and family by his side we announce the peaceful passing of James Carson, 80 years on Sunday, January 17th, 2016 at the Maison Vale Hospice. Beloved husband of the late Diane (Gilbeau) Carson. Special friend of Jean Trottier. Loving father of five cherished children Jamey Carson (Kim) of Val Caron, Cheryl Semeniuk (Alfred) of Sudbury, Wendy Vaillancourt (predeceased of Huntsville) (Mark/Lynne of Alban), Karen Grenke (Keith) of Timmins, and Jodie Carson of Toronto. The focus of his life was his family, for which he leaves a rich legacy of love and dedication. In particular, he treasured his ten grandchildren, Lindsay Digby (Dave) of Chapleau, Jessica Carson (Charlie) of Val Caron, Alysa Davidson (Jake) of North Bay, Mallory Turgeon (Marc) of Garson, Trevor Vaillancourt of Huntsville, Keisha Vaillancourt (Andrew) of Stittsville, Kaitlyne Graham (Robert) of Torquay, SK, Kraymr Grenke of Timmins, Christopher and Amanda Carson of Toronto. He was proud and honoured by his first great grandaughter, Norah Graham. He was also looking forward to welcoming his three future great grandchildren. Dear brother of Marie Demonski (Pete) (predeceased), Ethel Lantz (Embert) (predeceased), Dorothy Card (predeceased), Evelyn Carson and Carolyn Burke. Fondly remembered and dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. A true butcher, he worked in the meat cutting business, retiring in 2015 after 63 dedicated years. He was a “grand story and joke teller” who loved to entertain and socialize. The “Big Guy,” as he was known to many, was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing and playing hockey. He also took great pride in hunting with his buddies on the Island. Special thanks to H.S.N. doctors and nurses who took good care of dad. A big thank you to Maison Vale Hospice and staff for their compassion and care shown to our father during his stay. A Celebration of James’ Life will be held at All Nations Church, 885 Prete St., Sudbury on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
