LLOYD, Gerald Richard 'Gerry'

In loving memory of Richard Gerald “Gerry” Lloyd, 81 years, who passed away suddenly at his residence in Sudbury on Thursday, February 4th, 2016, one day shy of his 82nd birthday. Beloved husband of Leatha Lloyd (nee Houle, Pella). He was predeceased by his first wife Norma (nee Green). Loving father of Robert Lloyd (Jen) of Burlington, James Lloyd of Sudbury and Tyler Pella (Teresa) of Houston, Texas. Cherished grandfather of Vanessa, Jessica, Dylan, Evan, Holly, Sophia and Madison. Dear brother of Clarke (Helen) of Guelph, the late Robert (Marnie predeceased), Donald (Joan) of Manitoulin Island, Graham (Ila) of Manitoulin Island, Ruthann Duhamel (Vic) of Lively and Sally Laberge (Vic) of Manitoulin Island. Loving brother-in-law of the late Ronald Green, Linda Bowerman (Ron) of Manitoulin Island, Gary Green (Nicole) of Manitoulin Island, the late Roy Green (Darlene surviving), the late Mildred Bondesen, the late Eileen Cote (Gil predeceased), the late Donald Houle (Rita surviving), the late Lloyd Houle, the late Jack Houle, Conrad Houle (Sheila) of Sudbury, Allan Houle (Gloria) of Barrie, Robert Houle (Agnes predeceased) of Sudbury and Linda Donivan (Tommy predeceased) of Windsor. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Gerry was born in Kagawong, the son of Cecil and Eileen (both predeceased). He sailed the Great Lakes and worked for INCO for 34 years. Gerry spent 12 happy years at his summer home in Kagawong. As per his wishes, there was no visitation. Cremation took place at Park Lawn Crematorium. A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 1476 Sparks St., on Friday, June 3rd, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. Relatives and friends may gather at the church after 2:30 that afternoon.
