In Loving Memory of Harvey Reid 79 years Sunday, February 7th, 2016 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Rita (Chellew) Reid. Loving father of Cathy (Denis Lefebvre), Monica (Robert Wylie), Diane (Phil Barbeau), Norm (Jane) and Lorraine (Grant Healey). Cherished grandfather of Ian (Amanda), Kyle, Mathieu (Amelie), Taylor, Peyton, Owen, Lindsay and James and great grandson Cameron. Predeceased by his parents George and Ethel Burns, stepmother Sarah and adopted parents Lorne and Leona Reid. Dear brother of Leo (Lou) both predeceased, Doreen predeceased (John Bourchier of Alberta), Ken (Joan) both predeceased, Irma (Clarence Worms predeceased) of Florida, William Burns predeceased (Joan of Bracebridge), Patrick Beaudry (Claire) of Valley East, Gerald Kervin predeceased (Leona of North Bay), Rodney Burns (Ginette) of Tyson Lake, Carol Ann (Ron Jacobs) of Tennessee, Raymond Burns predeceased (Jane of North Bay), John Burns (Candy), Steve Burns (Diane) and Paul Burns all of Powassan. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Powassan, he married Rita in Sudbury in 1957. Harvey worked at the INCO Refinery for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the INCO Quarter Century Club. A man of faith, he was active at St. Clements, Our Lady of Hope and St. Andrew the Apostle Church. Harvey was a skilled wood worker and a true “Mr. Fixit”. He had a wonderful sense of humour and a devotion to his family. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors on the 4th Floor at Health Sciences North, as well as Geoffrey Lougheed for their care and kindness. Funeral Visitation at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9:00 P.M. Wednesday with parish prayers at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday) Funeral Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Road, Sudbury Thursday, February 11th, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation with entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. Donations to the St. Andrew the Apostle Building Fund, the Blue Door Café or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
