In Loving Memory of John Yvan Polsky 95 years Friday, February 12, 2016 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Lucille (Dupuis) Polsky, predeceased 2012. Loving father of Glen (Jeannette), Roy (Laurianne), Paulette (Marcel Prevost), Daniel (Suzanne), Carol (Ken McCormick), Ronald (Debbie) and Jane (Bill Campbell). Cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Dear son of Mike and Marie Polsky, both predeceased. Dear brother of Rose Wilkovesky and Cecile Davidson; predeceased by George, Sophia, Bob, Anne, Fred and Julie. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in St. Charles September 25th, 1920, he married Lucille in 1945. John worked with C.I.L. at INCO, retiring in 1975. He was a skilled gardener, known by many as the “Potato King”. John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and blueberry picking. He loved to spend time with others, especially his family. The family wishes to thank the fourth floor excellent nursing staff at HSN, the staff in ER, and the staff at Westmount Retirement Home for their care, patience and compassion over the past months. It was greatly appreciated. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. (Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday or after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday) Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
