Shirley Corneau, 70, passed away on April 18, 2014 at Timmins and District Continuing Care Unit. She was born on January 6, 1944. Thank you to Unit C on the third floor for your compassionate care and support to Shirley, her family and friends. A special thank you for accommodating family members with the stay overs for many days. Shirley and her family’s heartfelt thanks go out to her closest friends Beverly (Denis), Jackie (Raymond), Michael, Mary-Lou, and Florence. Their provisions of meals, visits and help were much appreciated and won’t be forgotten. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Archie Corneau, father, Anne Labine, mother and Frank Labine, stepfather. Loving mother of Charlene Jackson (Noel) of Lively and Dwight Jackson (Gisèle). Beloved sister of Eleanor Corneau (John) of Sudbury and Oliver Corneau (Cheryl) of Levack. Cherished grandmother of Scott Jackson of Toronto and Kaliann Piche-Jackson of Lively. Sadly missed by her niece Hilary Corneau of Toronto. Shirley was a proud member of the Legion 88 in Timmins. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
