Stephen Hay McCall, age 60, of Sudbury Ontario, on Aug 2nd 2014. Steve was born on Dec. 2nd, 1953 in Timmins Ontario (Cochrane District). Steve attended from The Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture, and went from there to an illustrious 37 year career with the City of London in Environmental Services. Steve helped design, build and manage the City’s Greenhouses, arboretum, and rose gardens. He also designed the current meeting place for the London Horticultural Society near Springbank Park. Steve is survived by his Mother Evelyn James McCall, brother Stuart James McCall, sister Cynthia Anne McCall, brother in-law Gary Glover and their children Cedar Mclean, Melissa Christie and Mac McCall-Glover. Sister Catherine Janet Armitage, brother in law Tom Armitage and their children Tiffany Armitage, Jenn Mackay, Lindsey Richards and their families. Steve was married to Holly Denise McCall and had 2 children; Scott Michael McCall and fiance Maria Peters and Victoria Glithero and her husband Matt Glithero. Steve was looking forward to the birth of his 1st grand-child in February 2015. Steve was passionate about Horticulture, Agriculture, Family & friends, and of course fishing. Three memorial services are planned for Steve in the near future. One here in Garson on May 17th /15, one in the London area and a fisherman’s fare well in July of 2015. Donations can be directed to the Sudbury Horticultural Society. Steve was an active member of the board of directors and helped to promote the ideals, beliefs and public awareness, of the importance of   horticulture in our daily lives.
