SNOW, N. Isabelle (Dokis)

In Loving Memory Of “Isabelle” Noella Snow (nee Dokis) 73 years Sunday afternoon, September 28th, 2014 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Gerald “Gerry” Snow predeceased July 22nd, 2009.  Loving mother of Sharon Snow, James “Jim” Snow (wife Kimberley) and Tracey (husband Cary Fish deceased) all of Sudbury.  Will be sadly missed by her grandsons; Taylor (April), James and Christopher.  Predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Esther (nee Goulais) Dokis.  Dear sister of Carolyne Vail (husband Earl deceased) of Kitchener and predeceased by her brothers Gary and James.  Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Isabelle was born in 1940 on the Dokis Reserve and grew up in Skead.   As of January 1rst 1960, Isabelle was one of the first graduates receiving her Nurse’s Assistant license from the College of Nurses of Ontario.  She worked in Sudbury at various hospitals throughout her career and retired at Extendicare Falconbridge in 1987.  Isabelle and her husband enjoyed the beginning of their retirement spending winters in Florida and summers on Manitoulin Island with family and friends.  She loved working, campfires, music, Gerry’s guitar and family gatherings.  Isabelle Snow was a courageous woman in life and a fierce lover of her family.  She had the elegance of a precious flower and the opinion of a self- assured spirit.  She will be sadly missed as we knew her but we all know we have a very protective angel with a gentle touch watching over us.   In keeping with Isabelle’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Isabelle to Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
