MACLENNAN, A Barbara (Blum)

In Loving Memory of Barbara Ann MacLennan (nee Blum) 68 years It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann MacLennan on Sunday, December 14th, 2014 at Health Sciences North surrounded by her loving family and friends. Barb passed away quickly after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of 44 years to Alexander “Sandy” MacLennan. Wonderful loving mother to Kerry (Kim) and Scott (Deanna). Special Grandma Mac to Bailey and Carter. Barbara was predeceased by her father Frank and mother Mildred. Dear sister of Brenda (Chris) Cayen, Raymond (Penny), Frank (Cheryl), Rick (Donna predeceased), Robert (Joyce), Ross predeceased (Marj) and Tom predeceased (Vallarena). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Marlene Neva. Barb loved her family so much, especially her boys and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching and cheering on her sons while they played hockey and slo-pitch, and making dinners for the entire family. She cherished her grandchildren and loved her Sunday mornings playing with them, as well as watching them dance and skate. Barb enjoyed being in the kitchen, always baking and making preserves for her family and friends. One of her favourite things to do was playing the slots at the casino. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A special thank you to Dr. Jane Cox for her many years of commitment and care to Barb and the staff of the Cancer Centre. Funeral Service in the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury Thursday, December 18th, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. (Friends may call Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and after 10:30 a.m. Thursday) Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the NCF Cancer Centre Pediatric Unit or Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
