In Loving Memory of Battista “Betty” Santamaria Peacefully, Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 at Health Sciences North with loving family at her side. She was born July 9th, 1925 in Bari, Italy. Beloved daughter of Francesco and Rosa (Raso) Santamaria both predeceased. Cherished sister of Dina Panzani, Sabina Rizzi and Noe, predeceased by Philomenia, Joanna, Pietro, Angelo and Franca. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews especially Grace in Toronto, Rosa, Rose and Franco in Italy and her long time friend and business partner Chuck Babcock. Betty came to Canada in 1964 with her brother Noe. Through the years Betty and Noe started three successful restaurant businesses in Sudbury. Betty enjoyed cooking, needlepoint and looking after her brother Noe. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Friday with parish prayers at 7:30 P.M. Friday) Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church 39 Walford Road, Sudbury Saturday, January 24th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Interment in the Civic Cemetery.
