TRAUNER, Erika (Breyschka)

The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the age of 92 years. Wife of the late Ernest Trauner. Predeceased by her parents Robert Breyschka and Thekla Zebedin. Beloved mother of Gerald “Gerry” (Janet) of Garson and John Trauner (Monica) of Peterborough. Predeceased by her daughter Eveline Orser. Dear sister of Erich Breyschka and predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Cherished grandmother of Suzanne (Travis), Angela (Tom), Michael (Leah), Taylor, Tamara (Trevor), Paul (Kirsten) and Daniella (Franco). Predeceased by her grandson Anthony. Sadly missed by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Erika immigrated to Canada from Austria with her husband and daughter to start a new life after the war. She loved gardening, reading and being with family and friends. Special thanks to the nurses and the staff at Extendicare York for their kind and compassionate care. In keeping with Erika’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
