DORAN, Philip Edward Bruce

In Loving Memory of Bruce Philip Edward Doran, 72 years, Sunday, January 25th, 2015 at Health Sciences North.

Cherished husband and best friend of 47 years to Betty Ann (Gemmell) Doran. Proud father of Robert (Ingrid) of Calgary and James of Toronto. Predeceased by parents Phil and Elsie Doran. Dear brother to Joan Ahola (Oliver, deceased), Carol Pidgeon (Gerry, deceased), Heather Doran-Spark, and Stewart (Cheryl). Born in Sudbury, he received BA and BPE degrees from Sir Wilfred Laurier and McMaster. He played football for both universities and received a tempting offer from the Hamilton Tiger Cats. He initiated a breakfast program at Sudbury Secondary School. Friends and family will remember Bruce’s culinary skills. Golf with Betty Ann and friends was a major interest. He enjoyed many years of retirement at his Ormond Beach, Florida residence.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 4:00 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
