KESKINEN, A. Onni

In loving memory of Onni Anselm Keskinen who passed away Sunday, April 12th, 2015 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Raija Keskinen. Loving father of Markku, wife Kimberly and Aino-Liisa. Dear grandfather of Leigh Ann and Kaisa “Katherine”. Onni was born in Virrat, Finland on March 6th, 1925. He served in WW11 at the age of 17. He moved to Canada with his family in 1959. A talented carpenter, he worked on the City Centre and Science North. With his family’s help, he built the family camp on an island on Lake Penage. He loved nature, fishing and being near the water. He was active in church and sang in the choir. Onni played numerous instruments, loved art and enjoyed reading. He was kind and loving and will be cherished and missed by all. A private family service was held at the Lougheed Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015. Donations to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church or Finlandia Village would be appreciated.
