In Loving Memory of Hector John Cecol 88 years Passed away peacefully, Monday, April 20th, 2015 at his residence with his loving wife at his side. Beloved husband of Edna (Regimbal) Cecol whom he married July 2nd, 1962. Loving father of Marc (predeceased) and Mariesa Davis (John) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Cherished Nono of Shayla, Kelsie Kidder (Marcas) and John Carter. Dear son of Lino and Josie Cecol predeceased. Dear brother of Ethel Payne (David) of Wheeler, Oregon and Robert (Beverly) of St. Thomas, Ontario. Special uncle to Christopher (Helen), Andrew and Joshua. Hector attended Holy Name in Kirkland Lake then Kirkland Collegiate and graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston with his accounting degree. As a student he was an industrious man who had an inspired work ethic working at Lakeshore Mine during the summer. He also worked at Star Store family grocery store. Hector was a skilled and accomplished athlete, he was an avid basketball player and participated in track and field when at Collegiate. Hockey was a passion for Hector and he also enjoyed golfing. A well respected Certified General Accountant, he had worked for S.R. Brunton Co and then the Federal Government. Hector was friendly and loved a good gab with friends in sharing his knowledge in the building of the mines in the north. He enjoyed a good discussion in accounting, economics and politics especially sports, namely hockey. He loved watching old western cowboy movies, the old classic movies, a good mystery and of course always hockey. Hector was devoted to his loving family. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 4-7:00 P.M. Friday at the Funeral Home or after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Church) Funeral Service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 900 Cambrian Heights, Sudbury Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Cremation with interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
