PUSCHEL, Eberhardt 'Abby'

In Loving Memory of Eberhardt “Abby” Puschel Peacefully Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at Health Sciences North with loving family at his side. Predeceased by his wife Martha, brother Martin, sisters Erna, Lotte, and Hertha, and his nephew Hans-Werner. They and his many dogs have welcomed him to the other side. Survived by his partner Ilse Jakelski, her children and grandchildren, his son Stig and daughter in law Donna, and more friends than most can hope for. Abby will be sadly missed by family in Germany and Jamaica. Born May 16th, 1920, in Breslau, Germany, Abby was generous and funny. He lived life to the fullest, building birdhouses, landscaping trails and gardens at home and at the camp. Canada welcomed us from the rubble that was Europe in 1953 and gave us a wonderful life. The family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the 8th and 5th floors at Health Sciences North for their excellent care and compassion. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Wednesday, April 29th, 2015 at 2pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may gather in the chapel after 1:30pm Wednesday).
