It is with a heavy heart that the family announces his passing on Friday May 15, 2015 with his beloved wife of 25 years, Joanne Martin-Johnston at his side. Dearly loved son of Betty Johnston (nee Hembruff) and Clive “Pete” Johnston (predeceased). Loving father to his boys who meant the world to him, Kyle (Karlie) and Brady both at home. Sadly missed by his sister Carol Ferguson (Jamie) and his brother Terry Johnston (Paula). Greatly missed by his in laws Eddy and Audrey Martin. Special brother-in-law to Monica Schneider (Dave), Debby Holman (Jerry) and Jennifer Martin (Michael Poirier). Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Delaney, Ryder, Kristen, Melissa, Morgan, Casey, Jessica, Rijah, Gavin, Beckham and Audree. Born and raised in Sudbury, he married his best friend in 1989. Chris enjoyed, golf, travelling and he took great pride and interest in the activities and accomplishments of his sons. The gift of his memory will be cherished by all who knew him including his 4-legged companion, Cooper. A life taken way too soon, we hope it’s sunny where you are, your toes in the sand with a cerveza in your hand. Until we meet again. Donations to the Sam Bruno PET Scanner would be appreciated. A Celebration of Chris’ Life will be held at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Monday, May 18th, 2015 at 1pm. (Friends may gather after 12:30pm Monday). Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
