The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the age of 96 years. Beloved husband of Gilberte (née Berthelot) Serré of Sudbury. Predeceased by his parents Elie and Marie-Louise (née Philion) Serré. Cherished father of Madeleine Lemire (Germain) and Denis Serré (Monique). Predeceased by his son Louis. Dear brother of Rev. Sr. Fabiola Serré, F.D.L.S. Predeceased by his siblings Telesphore (late Migonne), Rodolphe (late Leonore), Ferdinand (late Jeanne), Dorias (Felicia), Roland (Rachelle), Aurore (late Alcide) Bourbonnais, Rev. Sr. Victoria Serré, F.D.L.S. and Rev. Sr. Rose-Emma Serré, F.D.L.S. Cherished grandfather of Gilles (Julie Lemire), Guy and Melanie (Mike) Nieson. Loving great-grandfather of Celine, Maxine, Faith and Gabrielle. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the Palliative Care Unit of Health Sciences North for their compassionate care. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Friday, May 29, 2015 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
