MEGESI, Mirko 'Mitch'

Peacefully passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to Lorraine (née Paquette) Megesi. Loving father of Judith Megesi (Dean Peters), Elizabeth McBride (Rick), Dale Romain (Claude) and Lorrie-Ann Cecchetto (Joe). Predeceased by his son Daniel Megesi (Marion) and by his daughter Joyce Paquette (Gerry). Cherished Grandpa to Mirko, Jennifer, Matthew, Megan, Christopher, Kendell, Michael, Shannon, Daniel, Ashley and Caitlin. Sadly missed by many great-grandchildren. Special Godfather to Michael Paquette (Cheryl-Anne). Dear brother of Mary Perras (Gerry). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will also be missed by his good friends Judy and Lawrence Ladouceur and his faithful companion Brisko. Mitch owned and operated Pine Grove Centre in Cartier for many years. He touched the lives of many people and was touched by them as well. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Health Sciences North and the Home Palliative Care Team. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Friday, August 28th, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St-Xavier Church, Cartier.
