In Loving Memory of Mary Catherine McDowell (nee Hanrahan) 82 years She passed peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, October 4th, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Villa, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Raymond McDowell (predeceased 1996). Loving mother of Katherine McDowell, Daniel McDowell (Tara), David McDowell, Margaret Ann Attamanchuk (Brett) and Paul McDowell (Sharon). Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Jennifer, Chelsea, Andrew, Noah, Amelia and Robyn. Dear sister of Tom Hanrahan (Judith) and Dan Hanrahan (Pierrette). Sadly missed by loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sunshine in our lives, always gracious and had a kind word for everyone she met. Her life centered around her family and she was the foundation upon which we built our lives. Our father held our mother in the highest respect and taught us to do the same. Mary had an extraordinary and rewarding career as a nurse. Mary loved nursing and was a gifted caregiver specializing in the care of babies in the Neo Natal Nursery. Thank you to the compassionate care provided by the staff at St. Joesph’s Villa, especially Gardenway. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may gather 2-4; 7-9 P.M. Thursday with parish prayers at 3:00 P.M. Thursday) Funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, 30 Beech Street, Sudbury Friday, October 9th, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
