1938- 2015 In loving memory of Sheila (nee Sahadat), originally from Trinidad, who died at the Health Sciences North, Sudbury, on Saturday, November 21. Beloved wife of Donald Elliott (predeceased). Loving sister of Professor Dr. John Sahadat (Lorraine) of Subury, Wahemah Mohammed of Sudbury (Noor, predeceased), Joyce and Ezekiel (Hazra) of Trinidad, Rev. Joseph Sahadat (Lynda) of Picton, Samuel (predeceased) Carol of New York, and Margaret Gaudette (predeceased) Joe of Sudbury, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Sheila served for many years as a bridal consultant at Flare Fashion. She carried out her duties with a sense of pride and purpose. It was a pleasant experience for her to serve brides-to-be to their satisfaction. She enjoyed meeting with her friends weekly for swimming activities at the Finlandia swimming pool. She had a special gift of making friends easily. She was sociable, cooperative, and generous. She was passionate about collecting family pictures and arranging them in albums. She and her late beloved husband, Don, loved travelling and spending their summer vacations at their cottage. Sheila, like Don, believed that Nature is God’s creation given to human beings for their sustenance, and should be used responsibly and respectfully. From its beauty and abundance they derived a profound sense of awe and wonder. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8 pm Wednesday. Funeral service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel on Thursday, November 26th, 2015 at 10am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Health Sciences North Cardiac Unit will be greatly appreciated.
