In Loving Memory of Andrewine Armitage (nee Lyle), who passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2015 in her 100th year, at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury, Ontario. Born November 08, 1916 in Sudbury, beloved daughter of the late Edna (nee Hawthorne) and John Lyle. Andrewine was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Alonzo James (Toby) Armitage. Predeceased by her 3 oldest children: Stuart (Ann) Armitage, Corla (Alex, Scotland) Stuart, and Lyle Armitage. Lovingly remembered by her children: Ina Rae (Ted) Beynon, Lynne (Bob) Dinnen, Rhonda (Jack) Mills, Catherine (George) Leonard. Cherished Grandmother of: Airlie (predeceased) and David Armitage, Jennifer (Craig) Lawrence, Vicki Armitage (Mike Dawson),Rhonda (Ian) Gordon, Toby (Mary) Beynon, Laurie(Chris) Reaburn, Heather (Sean) Galbraith, Jamie (Louise) Smith, Dawn Graham, Lance, Andrew and Sharon Smith, Chad Smith (predeceased), John Michael Mills, Megan, Sean and Lyle (Cheryl) Leonard. Also blessed with 21 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Andrewine’s family was her first and greatest love. She was a life-long member of Knox Presbyterian Church; a proud Brown Owl at Princess Anne Public School Brownie pack for 8 years; treasurer of her Inco Club Ladies’ Bowling League for 10 years. Her lifelong interests included solving the daily crossword puzzle, being a voracious reader, knitting and gardening. Tall Cosmos blowing in the wind, Open heart to all in need. Strong will, green eyes could stop you in your tracks! Infectious giggle, “I’ll tell you when it hurts!” A purpose for living; gifted in so many ways. The Love of her family. We wish to thank the staff and all friends at Meadowbrook and Pioneer Manor for their care and compassion. Resting at JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. (Friends may call from 4:00 – 8.00 PM Wednesday and after 10AM Thursday). Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
