In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Charsley (nee Smart) 93 years Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 at Pioneer Manor Beloved wife of Oliver Charsley predeceased in 1995. Loving mother of Robert (Maria) of Wanup and Fraser (Lynne) of Copper Cliff. Step mother of Clara and Darlene (John) and predeceased by Charlene, Wilfred, Bill and Shirley. Survived by son-in-law John. Cherished granny to many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents James and Isabella Smart (nee Nicholson) and siblings; Arthur, Jimmy, Helen and Mary. Survived by her sister Marie (Ian). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elizabeth was born in Carlisle, England in 1922 and grew up in Scotland before coming to Canada in 1952. She had a passion for cooking and was always eager to share a meal with family and friends whenever they would drop by. She was very social and could always be counted on for a good joke. The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Manor for their great personal care and attention.At Elizabeth’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
