In Loving Memory of David Andrew Mottonen It is with great sadness that the family of David Andrew Mottonen announces his sudden passing on February 9th, 2016. Born in Sudbury, Ontario on December 31st, 1954, David was the second youngest of 4 children born to Kathleen (O’Reilly) and Vilho (Bill) Mottonen, both predeceased. He was a loving brother of Christine Morley (Paul) of Hamilton, Matti Mottonen (Mary) of Sudbury and Maureen Mottonen (Debbie) of Toronto. Much loved uncle of John, Liisa, Andrea, Matthew and Gregory and great uncle to Elayna and Freya. Sadly missed by his special friend and companion Yvonne Pinard. David attended St. Charles College and the University of Waterloo, and graduated in commerce from Laurentian University. His friends and family will miss his good nature, his positive spirit and his companionship. David always said the simple things in life bring the greatest happiness and he never drifted away from what was important to him. His love of family and his faith were the corner stones of who he was. He was a good and decent man and will be missed. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Friday with Parish prayers 3:00 P.M. Friday) Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Road, Sudbury Saturday, February 13th, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Health Sciences North Cardiac Unit or the Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund would be appreciated.
